harmonic arts and herb gatheringIn June of this year Innisfree Farm in Royston was host to Canada’s largest ever gathering of herbalists and herb lovers.

Jointly sponsored by Innisfree Farm and Harmonic Arts Botanical Dispensary from Courtenay, the 2nd biennial Vancouver Island Herbal Gathering, with the theme of “Honouring our Herbal Elders”, drew 25 instructors from all across Canada and 270 participants for a fabulous weekend of over 30 different herbal medicine classes & workshops, forest walks and garden tours.

The whole event was successful in raising over $4000 for charities. This will be shared out to Cumberland Community Forest Society ($2200), Gardens without Borders Horticulture Therapy project at Innisfree farm ($1000) and the Canadian Council of Herbalists Associations ($1000).

In addition, Harmonic Arts Botanical Dispensary also presented the CCFS with another donation of $881 from sales of their botanical teas over the past year!

We are incredibly grateful for the support of the herbalist community and for their appreciation for the immense value of this forest to the health and well-being of people and the planet!
