Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce Environmental Initiative Award
24 07 2007The CCFS was chosen as the 2005 recipient for the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce Environmental Initiative Award. Reasons cited for the award included the Forest Society's consistent efforts over the previous five years to educate the public about the value of raw land and to raise funds for the acquisition of sensitive habitat near Cumberland. The wide community support earned by the Society as a result of its efforts was mentioned as well.
