Bird Walk with James MacKenzie of MARS

Join James MacKenzie, local birder and Education Coordinator for MARS Wildlife Rescue on a guided bird walk through Cumberland’s lush forests and productive marsh. Learn the basics of bird ID and discover more about your local species while making connections with habitat, seasonality, and human-wildlife conflicts.

This tour will take place in and near the Cumberland Community Forest Park on relatively smooth and flat trails, with the possibility of some inclines, roots, and slippery mud or gravel. Please be prepared for any weather.

Bring your binoculars, and any app you like to use to record your observations (eBird, iNaturalist) and your curiosity!
