Join the Connected by Water Team of Tina Willard-Stepan and Meaghan Cursons for a voyager canoe tour of the history and ecology of the Comox Lake Watershed and learn how we’re all “Connected by Water”.
Source Encounters explores the deep sea volcanic origins of Vancouver Island, prehistoric shallow salty oceans, indigenous and settler presence on the landscape and the climate, recreation history and environmental issues we face today – this paddle is filled with stories, learning and ideas about how we create a climate resilience watershed for future generations.
Trip will include a short walk at the recently protected Comox Lake and Lower Perseverance Conservation Lands and will share this exciting collaboration to protect watershed lands for future generations.
