Autumn rains mean that water is flowing again in Perseverance Creek and thanks to the new pedestrian bridge crossing we have a whole new perspective on this creek and the Lower Perseverance Corridor as a whole in the fall season.
This bridge re-connects the Wellington Corridor and facilitates low barrier access to the Lower Perseverance Corridor and Comox Lake (and Coal Beach) on this route for the first time in over 50 years. Strollers, wheelchairs, and those with mobility challenges are all able to explore this space in ways they could not before this bridge was completed.
We continue to work hard to build community understanding about the status of these lands as conservation areas and we’re appreciative of the support of the community in building understanding. These lands have been purchased by our community and protected for ecological conservation and restoration, drinking water protection, heritage and cultural values, and low impact (non motorized) community access.

We also continue to see quite a bit of off road motorized access, often from young riders who may not be aware of the changes to these lands. We would appreciate the support of parents and family members to share where it is appropriate to ride moto and where it is not. There are bright yellow “attention’ signs at all the entrance points to the lands.
Please remember (and please help us communicate with others)
NO MOTORIZED ACCESS / NO FIRES / NO CAMPING / PACK OUT WHAT YOU PACK IN
