Did you know that 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the Cumberland Forest?
Our small but mighty not for profit was formed in 2000, in response to logging activity on the southeast side of the Village (the area we now call Middle Earth).
The community came together and began to write an incredible story that continues to unfold.
As 2024 draws to a close we are reflecting on an amazing year of community building through land protection and stewardship and looking ahead with excitement toward our 25th anniversary celebrations!
From special events, school engagement programs, and publishing projects, to restoration initiatives, interpretive signage projects, and new land purchasing campaigns, join us in 2025 as we continue to make conservation history in Cumberland!
