Randy discovered his calling for heavy timber construction in the mid-90’s, after several degrees in Mechanical Engineering (US). His training, skills and passion for craft make him a respected heavy timber designer, tradesman, problem-solver, and project manager. After running shops in Vermont for several years, Randy migrated to Vancouver Island in 2007 to work among some of the best wood-growing geography on the planet.
After 28 years in woodworking, Randy is no longer designing, cutting, and coordinating heavy timber projects – he is going to see what ‘retirement’ looks like for him. No one is worried about him keeping busy and enjoying some additional time spent with family and friends.
