The Forest – A Story Unfolding

A story is emerging from beneath the tall trees and shadows of the Cumberland Forest. This is story that has been unfolding for ages. It’s a story that knows a time before the spin of tires and pounding of shoes, a story that remembers a time before the falling of trees and digging of mines, a story that reaches back before human footsteps ever crossed this landscape.

We’ve been delighted to work with an incredible roster of local photographers, writer Kim Bannerman, and ROAM media to bring forward an offering in which the forest shares its own story.

On Thursday December 11th this 25th anniversary publication will be launched at the Cumberland Forest Winter Mixer. We are grateful for the generous support of First Credit Union and the creative efforts of the CCFS team who have helped bring this special publication to life. Copies of the book will be for sale at the Winter Mixer at the Cumberland Museum, Thursday December 11th from 5 pm to 8 pm

As of December 12th, you can pick up a copy for your favourite forest lover from Smol Store, Frontrunners, NayChur, Moons Records and The Cumberland Museum and Archives in Cumberland, Foveō Running and the Comox Valley Art Gallery in Courtenay, and from the ROAM Store in Comox.

If charitable giving is part of your financial strategy this year, we would be honoured to be considered.
