Cumberland’s 2025 Home & Garden Tour just around the corner!

The Cumberland Community Forest Society is inviting friends and neighbours from across the Comox Valley and beyond to take a peek behind the doors, hedges and fences of legendary Cumberland on Saturday June 28th from 9 am till 5 pm.

The much anticipated annual Cumberland Home & Garden Tour is a voyage of discovery through the gardens, urban farms, studios, retreats, built spaces and gathering places of the community of Cumberland. It is an exploration of life in the Village, how we care for our community, connect with each other, cultivate food security, conserve water, create joy, collect solar, raise bees, tell stories, make art, and build resilience.

With 24 + locations scattered across the Village and down Royston Road, this year’s tour features spectacular heritage renovations, cool rentals, modern designs, quirky social spaces, healing permaculture gardens, exciting new builds, intergenerational homes, food-filled urban farms, fire smart landscaping, mid century charmers and more!

Special locations will offer book readings and film screenings, putting greens, live music, guided farm tours, plant sales and fire smart education, art exhibits, and other immersive adventures! Hop on your ebikes, fill up your thermos, and head out for a prowl like no other!

Tickets are $25 and 100% of proceeds support the ongoing land protection, stewardship and education work of the Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS). In addition to their efforts leading stewardship projects, and educational events and programs in and around the Village of Cumberland, this spring the CCFS launched their 6th major land acquisition campaign to secure another 261 acres of land from private timber companies to the south of Cumberland. This new area is called “Middle Earth” and features a beautiful wetland corridor that flows to the Trent River.

Ticket links for the 2025 Home & Garden Tour can be found HERE. If you want to pick up tickets in person, pop into Jipsi Tree in Cumberland or Design Therapy in Downtown Courtenay. Ticket holders pick up a passport on the morning of June 28th in Village Square and make their way through the Village and down Royston Road to explore these special places and meet the generous folks who have opened their homes and gardens for the community to experience!
