Hand-in-Hand Nature Education hosted a second annual Kids’ Hike to Help the Forest on May 15th. Families and kids who love the Cumberland Forest and Perseverance Creek came together to raise funds and help protect the places they love.

Participants chose from 3 routes and Hand-in-Hand educators joined the fun to help guide and share a story and snack at the halfway mark!

Donations collected from hike participants totaled $1305! Many of these tiny hikers reached out to friends and family members for pledges to protect the Forest. It was an amazing effort despite inclement weather. But these little hikers don’t let rain stand in their way.

CCFS Executive Director met up with one mighty little hiker who handed off the Kid’s Hike donations. Thank you Oaka-Wren Lorian and dad Peatr Lorian for representing and for your amazing fundraising!
